What is MTN PRESTIGE?
A. MTN Prestige is MTN’s exclusive loyalty programme, designed to recognize and reward our Premium customers. This is open to both prepaid and post-paid customers, membership requires a minimum cumulative spend of N90,000 on the network within a 12-month cycle.
When is the start and end period of the 12-month cycle?
A. The 12-month cycle is January to December of every year. Eligible customers are assigned to the corresponding Prestige tier in January.
Would I have to wait for 12 months, to be upgraded when my spend hits a higher status spend band?
ANo. Once your spend hits the next tier band within the 12-month cycle, you would instantly be upgraded to the respective Prestige tier.
If I upgrade my spend within the year, would I enjoy the full benefit of that tier?
A. Upon upgrading your spend during the current year to the next higher tier, you will instantly receive benefits such as data, and other benefits of the higher tier depending on the upgrade level. The complete benefits of the upgraded tier will be accessible to the upgraded customer in the following year. All Prestige benefits can also be viewed in the Prestige section of myMTNNG app.
I received a message that there is a new spend band for Prestige, when will the new spend bands take effect?
A. The updated spend bands will take effect from January 1, 2025.
Why was the spend band reviewed?
A. The spend band was reviewed to ensure that the high quality of our prestige service is maintained in view of the economic changes and to ensure that the rewards and benefits offered to Prestige customers remain competitive and sustainable.
How will this change affect my current Prestige status?
A. You are currently on the new tier. Please, expect no further changes to your tier. However, you can increase your spend to move to the next higher tier within the year.
Will my benefits change with this review?
A. No, the benefits associated with each tier remain unchanged. However, they are now better aligned with the updated spend bands to ensure continued value for our Prestige customers.
How do I know my Prestige Status or identify my band?
A. You can check your current spend and Prestige eligibility on the home page of the myMTNNG app ,in addition you will be notified of your status as a Prestige member via SMS/Email or through your Relationship Officer depending on the tier.
What class of customers are eligible to be a part of the MTN Prestige Club?
A. All MTN prepaid and post-paid customers are eligible to be MTN Prestige members when they spend a minimum of N90,000 within the given year cycle.
How do I qualify to be an MTN Prestige member?
A. Qualification into MTN Prestige is automatic once you spend at least N90,000 by the end of the annual cycle.
What categories exist in the MTN Prestige membership?
A. Members are categorized into five tiers with each tier’s spend band as indicated in the table below:

Do Prestige members have Membership Identity Card?
A. Yes. Once a customer becomes a Prestige member, the customer gets a virtual membership card that is accessible on the Prestige page of the myMTN NG mobile application; click the Prestige tier icon on the home page to view the membership card.
What qualifies me to become a Prestige BRONZE member and what are my benefits?
A: Once your cumulative annual spend hits N90,000, you automatically qualify into the 1st tier of the club as a Prestige Bronze member with the below benefits:
- Possibility of an upgrade to a higher Prestige tier during the year based on spending.
- Free data reward on customer’s Anniversary with MTN
What qualifies me to become a Prestige SILVER member and what are my benefits?
A. Once your spend hits N180,000, you automatically qualify into 2nd tier of the club as a Prestige Silver member with the below benefits:
- One-time free access to the MTN Prestige Lounge at Lagos International Airport with the privilege of bringing one accompanying visitor.
- Possibility of an upgrade to a higher Prestige tier during the year based on spending.
- Free data rewards on customer’s Anniversary with MTN
What qualifies me to become a Prestige GOLD member and what are my benefits?
A. Once your spend hits N540,000, you automatically qualify into 3rd tier of the club as a Prestige Gold member with the below benefits:
- Free access to the MTN Prestige Lounge at Lagos International Airport plus the opportunity to bring along one accompanying visitor.
- Priority access at MTN Touch points.
- Possibility of an upgrade to a higher Prestige tier during the year based on spending.
- A Relationship Officer.
- Invitation to exclusive events as opportunities arise.
- Free data reward on customer’s birthday
What qualifies me to become a Prestige PLATINUM member and what are my benefits?
A. Once your spend hits N900,000, you automatically qualify into the 4th tier of the club as a Prestige Platinum member with the below benefits:
- Free access to the MTN Prestige Lounge at Lagos International Airport plus the opportunity to bring along two accompanying visitors.
- Personalized MTN Prestige Membership Virtual Card accessible via the myMTN NG App.
- Priority access at MTN Touch points.
- Possibility of an upgrade to the highest Prestige tier during the year based on spending.
- A Dedicated Relationship Officer.
- Invitations to exclusive premium events as opportunities arise.

What qualifies me to become a Prestige YELLO member and what are my benefits?
A. Once your spend hits N1,800,000, you automatically qualify into the highest level of the club as a Prestige Y’ello member with the below benefits:
- Unlimited free access to the MTN Prestige Lounge at Lagos International Airport plus the opportunity to bring along two accompanying visitors.
- Priority access at MTN Touch points.
- A Dedicated Relationship Officer.
- Invitations to exclusive premium events as opportunities arise.
- Chance of a luxury gift
- Free data gifting on customer’s birthday
What qualifies as spend?
A. Voice, SMS, and Data used on your mobile number within a calendar year.
Does MTN Prestige Membership expire?
A. Yes, at the end of one-year cycle (December), all membership expires. However, renewal at the beginning of a new cycle in January is automatic once a customer attains the spend threshold of N90,000 and above.
How do I know who my dedicated relationship officer is?
A. As a Y’ello or Platinum or Gold member, you are informed of your dedicated relationship officer when your new status is being communicated to you via email/SMS and your dedicated relationship officer will contact you.
Where is the MTN Prestige Lounge located?
A: The MTN Prestige lounge is on the 2nd floor, E-Wing of departure hall at Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos (Terminal 1). Coming from Terminal 2, this can be reached through the connecting Terminal Walk-way to terminal 1, then look out for MTN Signage after exiting the Duty-Free shop.
What are the hours of operation for MTN Prestige Lounge?
A. MTN Prestige Lounge opens daily from 7:00am to 11:00pm.
How do know I am eligible to use the Lounge?
A. All Yello, Platinum and Gold customers can use the Prestige lounge as often as they want while Silver customers have one-time access to the Prestige lounge.
What do you mean by Silver customers having one-time access to the Prestige Lounge?
A. This simply means that Silver customers can only access or visit the MTN Prestige lounge once within a given cycle of January – December, unlike the higher tier members who have unlimited access to the lounge.
How do Prestige customers get notified on developments of the Prestige loyalty programme?
A. Information on Prestige is usually passed on to members via SMS, WhatsApp, myMTN NG. App and emails. Prestige members are encouraged to opt-in for Prestige e-newsletter email, by confirming their email address when requested.
Is there a possibility of making changes to the above benefits within a given cycle?
A. Yes. As part of our ongoing efforts to improve and refine our loyalty program, we regularly review and adjust the benefits and rewards offered within each cycle, with a view to relevance and business alignment.
