The Foundation’s policy of evaluating the impact and applicability of its interventions recently saw it streamlined from four (Mother & Child Health, Youth Empowerment and Education, Arts & Culture) to two portfolios, National Priority and Youth Development.

The most significant thing that has happened to me because of this training is that I have been able to upscale my business both offline and online. With social media, my business now has local and international recognition. So many people have patronised my business helping it grow and expand. Through the training, I have learnt how to communicate better with my customers, implement new business tools, employ more staff and gain extra profit upscaling to greater heights.
From the moment I received the news of being selected for this opportunity, I was filled with immense gratitude and enthusiasm. The scholarship not only provided financial support but also opened doors to unparalleled experiences within MTN Nigeria’s Network Division. In my short time at MTN Nigeria, I had the privilege of working alongside industry professionals and experts who shared their knowledge and skills. I was exposed to cutting-edge technologies and innovative practices that drive the telecommunications industry. From network planning, implementation and optimisation to infrastructure management, I had the opportunity to delve deep into various business operation aspects. I appreciate the scholarship and internship opportunity as it’s been a transformative experience that has not only enriched my education but also paved the way for a promising career in the industry.
The opportunity provided by MTNF goes beyond monetary aid, it creates an enriching environment that nurtures personal development and promotes productivity. The strong sense of belonging within the MTNF community is immense, as I forged connections with individuals who possessed a similar drive for career development and positively impacting the society. This internship opportunity has opened my mind to several operations in the IT department and the importance of this to my career cannot be overemphasised.
